Qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London in 1985 and fully registered by the GMC in 1986. He qualified as a GP in 1990 and joined Linden Hall Surgery in 1996. He is married to a doctor and has three children. He is the medical columnist for the Sunday Times and enjoys literature, music and wine.
