Sister McHattie and her team are available at the main surgery every day. A member of the team also visits the branch surgery at Muxton each morning between 8.30am and 12.30pm. Nursing facilities are made available at the branch surgery at Edgmond on Wednesday afternoons between 2.00pm and 5pm for contraception and sexual health.
The following services are offered by the nursing staff:
Wound dressing and suture removal, family planning advice, cervical smear tests, childhood immunizations, foreign travel and routine immunizations, minor casualty service, blood tests, health promotion and lifestyle advice (e.g. smoking and weight loss), ECG tests, audiology tests and special clinics such as well woman, asthma, diabetes and coronary heart disease.
